XO Business Connections is a simple and rewarding program that allows our business associates to get paid for referring business leads to XO Communications Business Services. Using an easy process, eligible participants can provide new business referrals in exchange for a one-time reward check, residual payment, or (if you are an existing XO Communications customer) in the form of a bill credit.

Overview

The program works in three easy steps:

  1. Consult the eligible participants before enrolling.
  2. Decide which payment option you prefer: one-time check, bill credit, or residual payment option.
  3. Sign up for the program, (Note: you will need your Employer Identification Number or your Social Security Number to register).
  4. Start submitting leads.

The XO Communications sales team will orchestrate the deal, keeping you informed along the way. Once the deal closes, you will receive your payment approximately 60 days after installation.

It's that simple!

Depending on which type of payment method you choose, you will need to follow the steps below to enroll.

One-Time Check Details

If you select to receive a one-time check for 50% of the Monthly Recurring Charges (up to $5,000), follow these three steps:

  1. Sign up for the program as a company or individual and include the address where you want to receive your payment. (have your employer identification number (EIN) or social security number handy; you will need to enter it during the sign-up process).
  2. Your designated email address will be your username. You create your password.  
  3. You can login immediately and start submitting leads!  

Your XO sales representative will orchestrate the deal, and keep you informed along the way. Once the deal closes, your reward check (up to $5,000) will be mailed to the address on file approximately 60 days after installation.

Bill Credit Details

If you are an existing XO Communications customer and you select to receive a bill credit instead of a one-time check, follow these steps:

  1. Sign up for the program as a company or individual, and include the address where you want to receive your payment. (have your employer identification number (EIN) or social security number handy; you will need to enter it during the sign-up process).
  2. On the online form, select the "bill credit option" box and then provide your XO Account Number.

    Your XO Account Number appears at the upper right corner of your XO invoice. See the example below. If you have problems locating your account number, please contact the designated, toll-free Customer Care number that appears on your monthly invoice or call 800.421.3872.


  3. Your designated email address will be your username. You create your password. 
  4. You can login immediately and start submitting leads! 

Residual Payment Details

The residual process allows you to receive payment on business closed as a result of your referrals. You can receive 4% of a 2-year contract and 5% of a 3-5 year contract (maximum of $5,000 per payment), by following these steps:

  1. Sign up for the program as a company or individual and include the address where you want to receive your payment. Be sure to have your Employer Identification Number or Social Security Number handy.
  2. Your designated email address will be your username. You create your password.
  3. You can login immediately and start submitting leads! Just make sure to select "Residual Payment" as your payment option when submitting the lead.

If the referral becomes a sale, you will receive a monthly commission check for the life of the initial contract beginning approximately 60 days after installation.

Eligibility requirements

  1. As the lead provider, you shall be compensated for leads that XO accepts after determining that the prospective end user is not an existing XO customer or existing prospective customer for services from XO Communications.
    NOTE: XO services and features that are ordered online as well as services that are ordered through the XO Non-Standard order process are excluded from this program.
  2. No individual or entity shall be eligible to participate in this program nor receive commission from any leads provided to XO Communications if such individual or entity is an:
    1. XO Communications Business Partner, sales representative or a relative of an XO sales agent or sales representative.
    2. XO Communications lead agent or a relative of an XO Communications lead agent.
  3. No individual or entity shall be eligible to receive commissions from leads that are self-referrals.
  4. You must have obtained your employer’s consent to participate in the XO Business Connections residual program before applying for the program.
  5. XO will compensate you, as the lead provider, for actual sales of XO Communications Business Services solutions to businesses. This program does not apply to XO Communications Carrier Services customers. .
  6. All leads shall be submitted using the lead referral form provided.
  7. XO will pay you if the deal closes within one hundred eighty (180) days of your initial contact with XO Communications.
  8. You will generate leads in a manner that will reflect favorably on the good name and reputation of XO Communications and XO Communications services and, specifically, you agree to:
    1. Comply with all applicable national, international, state, and local laws, ordinances, and regulations in its dealings with XO Communications and end users, including, without limitation, the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act FCPA and all applicable federal, state, local, and international privacy laws.
    2. Cooperate fully in the collection, compilation, and maintenance of data required to be reported by XO Communications under any statutes, regulations, orders, or other contractual commitments.
    3. Maintain in force and effect all licenses and permits or state required certifications required for its performance under this agreement.

Make no false or misleading statements with respect to XO Communications services and engage in no illegal, deceptive, misleading, unethical, or improper acts or practices in performing under this agreement.
